1.    Thinking any yogurt is healthy

Yogurt can be healthy for you. However, that depends on what type of yogurt you are eating. Yogurt basically includes a lot of calcium, protein, and probiotics. All of which are great for health. However, a lot of manufacturers load up yogurt with sugar. A yogurt that includes a lot of sugar might not be a good choice for you, especially if you are on a vegetarian diet. The best you can do is opt for plain yogurt.

2.    Protein misconception

Vegetarians do not get enough protein is something that we have often heard. However, whoever has done his research properly knows that its nothing but a myth. In reality, a vegetarian diet fulfills the recommended amount of protein that an individual should consume. There are several foods that are protein-packed and can be consumed on a vegetarian diet such as red lentils, sofu-tofu, walnuts, almonds beans, chickpeas, walnuts, and much more.

3.    Eating only fruits

Yes, the fruit is extremely healthy. However, there is a high chance that a person will experience a drop in energy level if he/she is only snacking on fruits. Fruits are full of vitamins, phytochemicals, and fiber and hence can be very nutritious for you. However, you should combine the fruits with nuts like sunflower seeds, walnuts, almonds, etc. This adds some healthy fats and protein to your diet. Also, this will help keep you full of energy.

4.    Not Eating Enough Variety of fruits and vegetables

There are a lot of plants that are not enough of a source to fulfill our recommended amount of amino acids needed by our body. Hence, instead of sticking to one kind of vegetable or fruit, it is better that you mix up a variety. This will ensure that you are not missing out on any vitamins and proteins.
